Heir to the knives of the French Navy, the Îles du Salut knife offers tradition and historic character. A folding knife inspired by the knives of sailors and topmen, in service in every latitude from 1873 to 1939. Its name pays tribute to French Guiana’s Îles du Salut archipelago, where French settlers took refuge from the epidemics of the mainland. Its ergonomic handle in Wacapou, a wood endemic to the Guiana Shield and found nowhere else on Earth, displays a chocolate brown streaked with beige. A century and a half of history, in the palm of your hand.
