Amourette, Bois Serpent, Moutouchi, Wacapou, Ébène verte, Saint-Martin Rouge, Amarante, burls… Each handle is shaped from a rare wood of the French Guiana forest, chosen for its stability, mechanical properties and natural beauty.
Some of these woods are among the densest in the world. Boco and Panacoco sink in water; others are known by their figure: the winding grain of Bois Serpent, the scale-like pattern of Bois Grage, the stable red of Satiné Rubané, the rare purple of Amarante. Wacapou is endemic to the Guiana Shield: it is found nowhere else on Earth.
